Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Children are born ready, able and eager to Learn. They actively reach out to interact with other people, and in the world around them. Every child in our setting will engage in opportunities to interact in positive relationships and enabling environments.
The children engage in learning that has been well planned and resourced, children are observed in their learning and these observations are analysed to help the practitioners to decide how best to challenge and extend the child's learning and development.
The areas of Learning and development are all interconnected and will be experienced throughout the theme.

Please share a book with your child every night. The more they hear and respond to reading the wider their vocabulary will grow. We will set a 'sharing of books' challenge at the start of each half term to encourage children to share books at home. We will support children in changing their books on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, this will give you several days to read the book.
You can always come and see me if you have any questions or concerns.

Love Jesus Love Learning Love Life
Prayer, Saints and Feasts- in this unit we will be exploring family relationships within the context of showing love for one another. Children will find out about how Jesus cared for us and how he gave us signs to demonstrate that care and love. We also look at the role of the family in helping us pray through examples of Jesus and his family.
The multi-faith element is Islam.
Big Questions- This is an opportunity for children to explore their faith further and to ask questions which are important to them.
