Exhibition @ Plymouth Arts Centre
Key Stage 2 Exhibition and tour of Plymouth Arts Centre
Two children from years 3-6 were invited to exhibit their art work at the internationally recognised Plymouth Arts Centre. The children enjoyed a talk by the assistant curator who gave the children an insight into David Blandy and Larry Achiampong's work. The exhibition dealt with themes such as race, identity and globalisation. Over the past few weeks, the children have worked hard on their own paintings which deal with similar themes and are a response the Turner Prize winning artist Chris Ofili. Shortly after the talk and a tour of the exhibition, the children curated their own art exhibition and invited parents to view their work.
The children would like to thank all the staff at Plymouth Arts Centre for providing them with a free space to show case their work.
