Pancake Day Races

The children didn't feel the cold as they lined up in anticipation for the annual 'Pancake Race.'  Every child in the school was provided with a pancake by 'The Friends of St Joseph's' and the children appreciated this opportunity to have fun to mark the start of Lent.
Mr Gill began the two races and the children were cheered on by onlooking parents.  As there were many pancakes dropped, the children were later supplied with a fresh one to eat later on in the afternoon.  We really value these whole school events, as did the seagulls!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our pancake races this year. Lots of people brought in frying pans so they could race. The Plymouth Herald also published our photographs on their website. Take a look at them following this link.
