Our learning journey this half term...
This term our learning challenge is "Would you prefer to live in Europe or Africa?"
The children will learn about different continents, countries and cities. They will learn about how varied climate can be across the world and will develop their skills with an atlas and a map.
This term, the children will build on their understanding of mathematical calculations. They will consolidate their knowledge of number bonds before learning about to add and subtract from 2 digit numbers. Children will use manipulatives to build their conceptual understanding. Reasoning and problem solving will be used to challenge children and give them an opportunity to apply their mathematical understanding in different contexts.
In RE, we learning about the Epiphany and journeys in faith. We will move onto Jesus' miracles in the second half of the block.
Class 2 have been busy preparing for the Christmas International market!

We are learning about greater than and less than



Children will be given weekly homework which will be set every Tuesday and due in the following Monday. This will include...

  • weekly spellings via Literacy Planet

  • a handwriting sheet (also the week's spellings)

  • a weekly fluency sheet for maths (40 quick questions)
  • times table rock stars



The children will have their P.E lessons on a Thursday and  Friday. Please make sure your child has their P.E kit in school throughout the week. Children will be reminded to take their P.E kit home every half term to be washed.
