Welcome to Class 3
Our learning journey this half term...
This term we are looking at Children's books. This topic not only allows us to focus on writing for an audience but also, allows the children to explore collage. After this, we will create our own children's books using collage to bring the book to life.
In Maths this term we are looking at telling the time. Over the year, it is important that the children continue to learn and practice their 3, 4 and 8 times tables.
This term we are looking at Easter. We look at connections between Easter, Holy Week and the teachings and life of Jesus. We look at the symbolism of Easter and how it is not all about easter eggs and chocolate!
Mr Thomas Langley
Children will be given weekly homework, which will be set every Friday and will be due in for the following Thursday. The homework will include:
- Weekly spellings
- Literacy planet
Children will also need to practice their times tables as often as they can at home so they can travel the world in our Times Table Travels, as well as practicing their One Minute Maths.
It is also important that children read daily in order to continue developing as confident writers.
If you have any questions about homework, please come and ask!
Due to changes in the timetable, the children will be expected to keep PE kit in school all week.
