Online Home Learning Timetable
Here is a timetable for our online learning this week.
You can access the learning via the google classroom of Lydia.
This term in our English learning we will be covering Poetry (kennings), Stories with adventures and Explanation texts.
We will continue to learn about Fractions in our Maths lessons- focusing on equivalents and comparing fractions. Towards the end of the term, the children will begin to focus on time: including minutes and hours, the calendar and 24 hour clock.
This term we will be learning about the Ancient Greeks. This period in time helped shape the modern world. We will explore what life was like during these times, and how life changed through the creation of government and democracy. The children will learn about everyday life and Greek religion.
We will learn about Pentecost and Hinduism and Judaism.
The children will be learning about the events of Pentecost and the fruits of the spirit.
The children will focus on sacred buildings to the different world religions and compare them to churches.
Please encourage your child to read everyday and those on Accelerated Reader to quiz as we will be tracking their reading success.

Home learning will begin this week. As the children are used to the google classroom, all home learning will be carried out online. Children will have spelling, Numbots and TTRS as well as some IXL activities to complete. Any extra support you can provide for your children is much appreciated. google classroom.
Each week, the spellings will be posted; however, if you need a paper copy please let us know.
On days that we have PE, children should wear their PE kit coming into school and stay in it all day. Our PE days are MONDAY and FRIDAY. PE kit is a plain white t-shirt, navy shorts and/or navy tracksuit bottoms/ jogging pants with either plimsolls or trainers. The children should wear their school jumper as normal. If you already have a St Joseph's tracksuit top, that can be worn.
