Writing
During the second part of the Autumn term we will be writing another chapter of the book Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Race Against Time. Our final writing focus will look at the non-fiction text Charles Dickens: Scenes from an Extraordinary Life. We will aim to recreate this style of writing with the focus on Isambard Kingdom Brunel who we are learning about this half term.
Religious Education
Our opening unit asks the question - What does it mean to be Committed? We will explore vocations which require dedication and service to God's call. Towards the end of the Autumn term our Advent & Christmas unit begins by asking - Should we have expectations?
Maths
During the Autumn term our main focus will be the four operations and fractions. This will include ordering, equivalence, addition, subtraction as well as multiplying and dividing. Throughout the term the children will be given a weekly opportunity in mixed problem solving and reasoning.
