Service Family Club

At St Joseph's we run a Service Family weekly group. This is led by Mrs Penelrick who is our Parent Support Advisor.

This could consist of playing games, crafts to more in-depth chats about being part of a service community.
This allows the group of children to connect with others going through the same thing.

We offer extra support when family members are due to be deployed, away or returning to the family home.

This year, we are discussing as a group what school trip we could plan.

Cinema Trip

Our Service Children Group recently enjoyed a special trip to the cinema, celebrating their hard work and providing a chance to relax and spend time together.

The outing was organised to recognise the unique experiences of our service families and to give the children an opportunity to build friendships and share positive experiences outside the classroom.

Everyone had a wonderful time watching the film, enjoying popcorn, and chatting with friends.

The trip also helped to strengthen the sense of community and support among our service children, reminding them that they are an important and valued part of our school family.
